Customers on Microsoft Teams, answered from Slack

Support for customers on Microsoft Teams is coming, and it is not available yet. As planned, messages from a customer's Teams shared channel land in your Slack triage channel, and your team replies from Slack.

The planned model

Some of your customers live in Microsoft Teams, while your team works in Slack. Thorpe is planned to connect the two, without moving anyone.

One triage channel for every customer

Today Thorpe tracks requests from shared Slack Connect channels. With Microsoft Teams, the same triage channel is planned to hold requests from both, so your team works one queue. Your customers write in a Microsoft Teams shared channel, and your team is planned to reply from Slack.

A Teams request is planned to work like a Slack one: an owner, an SLA, internal notes and escalation, all from Slack. Triage stays in Slack. Thorpe is not planned as a tool your team uses inside Teams.

A planned flow, coming soon: a Teams shared channel, then your Slack triage channel, then a reply from Slack

What is still being decided

Microsoft Teams works differently from Slack, and we are still working out how Thorpe connects to it. We will publish the details when they are settled, not before.

Until then, nothing on this page is a promise of a date or a setup step.
